RESEARCH PERMIT APPLICATION

In case you want to interrupt filling out the form and resume the process later, select "Save for later" at the bottom of the page and enter your e-mail address. After saving the final version, you will no longer be able to make any changes to the information you provide.

Once you have completed the form, add the necessary attachments to your application. A research plan must always be attached to the application. In the case of thesis projects, the research plan must be approved by the thesis supervisor. If necessary, the applicant may be asked to provide additional information on the researc

Finally, you can save the completed form for yourself as a text file. Once you have sent out the form, you will get an e-mail notification verifying that your application has been received. You will also be notified by e-mail of other stages involved in the processing of your application. At the end of the final notification, you will find comments regarding the decision made on your application.

Once the research permit application has been processed (and granted) an e-mail with attached permit decision (pdf) will be sent to the applicant(s). This also includes more detailed terms of the permit.

The researcher must submit the completed study to the city contact person designated in the research permit. In addition, the researcher must send a notification of the completed study to tietojohtaminen@tampere.fi and include in the message a link to the study if it is available in an electronic format.

Granting of a research permit requires that the applicant has been personally in contact with the city unit(s) involved in the research before applying for the permit, and that the unit(s) in question has/have agreed to the research and has/have named a contact person(s) for it.

If the study involves several similar units within the same sector or service branch (such as several day-care centres or several schools), appointing a contact person from one of the units is sufficient.

If the study involves units from different sectors or service branches/groups (eg. both schools and day-care centers), contact persons from each of these branches are required.
