The employer shall apply for payment of the Tampere International Voucher after the internship period has ended through a separate payment application form. The support will be paid as a lump-sum reimbursement upon completion of the internship/employment relationship against submitted payroll records.
If the City has paid the employer the grant in whole or in part without proper grounds, the employer is obliged to repay the amount that was unduly paid.
The grant may be recovered, for example, if it has been awarded on the basis of incorrect information, if the employer has failed to notify the City of an interruption in the employment relationship of the person hired, if the grant has been used contrary to the grant decision, or if the employer fails to provide documents requested by the City that are necessary for monitoring the use of the grant.
The employer is responsible for providing the City with accurate and sufficient information for the payment and monitoring of the grant.
Support will not be granted if:
- the salary of the person hired with the support is determined solely on the basis of work performance or results;
- the employer has, during the 12 months preceding the application, dismissed employees for production-related or financial reasons and has not subsequently hired employees so that the number of employees employed by the employer at the time of granting the support is at least equal to the number of employees at the time of the dismissals;
- the employer has substantially neglected its obligation to pay wages or its obligations to pay taxes or statutory contributions;
- the employer or its representative has, during the year in which the support is granted or during the preceding two years, been convicted by a final court judgment of a criminal offence, or the employer has been subject to a sanction fee imposed by a final decision during the same period;
- the employer has been granted other internship support for the employment of the same job seeker.
