Application of Summer Job Voucher

The Summer Job Voucher is applied for with a single common application, meaning one application is sufficient for each summer job. Please fill out the form carefully once you have found a summer job and remember that the Summer Job Voucher must be applied for before the start of the summer job. Confirmation of the voucher will be sent by email to both the young person and the employer within approximately two weeks of applying. The value of an individual voucher is 320 euros, and an employer can receive up to ten Summer Job Vouchers.

The voucher can be granted to a young person from Tampere who was born between 2008 and 2011. They must be under 18 years old for the entire duration of the employment. The summer job must take place somewhere between May 1 and August 31, 2026. Weekly working hours must be between 12 and 30 hours, and the working time must not exceed six hours per day. The employment must last at least two weeks. The summer job must pay at least 400 euros in accordance with the collective agreement (separate compensations or allowances such as evening allowance, Sunday work compensation, and holiday compensation must not be included in the basic salary but must be paid in addition and itemized in the payslip).

The employer must have a Finnish business ID (Y-tunnus) and can be, for example, a company, organization, parish, or foundation. The workplace does not need to be located in Tampere. The employer can have up to ten summer job voucher employees, and the ten-voucher limit is per business ID.

The Summer Job Voucher cannot be granted for work with the municipality or the state.
