Application for Project Grants

Youth Services grant discretionary one-time subsidies for the implementation of activities that complement local youth work in Tampere.

The application period for one-time subsidies is continuous. Associations, communities, and working groups can apply for support. The one-time subsidy is always partial funding. The recipient of the subsidy must also have their own fundraising to organize the activity.

The decision on the subsidy is made by the Youth Services Director. The subsidy may only be used for the purpose specified in the decision. The subsidy may be required to be returned if it is used for purposes other than those approved.

Youth Services' involvement in the project requires that the given support be returned if the activity does not take place or if the support is used for purposes other than those applied for. The applicant must provide additional information deemed necessary by the official upon request.

Receiving the support requires an account statement and copies of paid invoices. The applicant must submit an expense report on the activity no later than one (1) month after the activity has taken place.

Carefully review the criteria for the grant you are applying for. Information about the criteria for specific project grants can be found on Tampere city's Targetet grants webpage.
A project grant is not awarded for activities that are part of the applicant's core operations and are already supported by a general grant. However, in exceptional cases, a project grant may be awarded to organizations receiving a general grant if the project clearly differs from the organization's core activities.

"If the project grant is intended to cover expenses related to salaries or wages, the applicant must submit proof of payment of wages and salaries after the event. The receipts must show that, in addition to the payment of wages, the applicant has also paid for occupational pension contributions, unemployment insurance contributions and other compulsory incidental expenses relating to the payment of wages. The applicant always takes care of employees’ pension security by paying TyEL contributions to the employment pension company. Receipts for the payment of salaries must be submitted with the Project assessment form, even if the grant amount is less than EUR 500. In particular for individuals and teams, the Palkka.fi system is recommended for the payment of salaries and wages."

Please note that in applying for a Project grants for culture grant for the publication of a history, the following documents must be provided as annexes to your application:
- manuscript of the history concerned (a grant can be applied for when the manuscript is in readable format)
- budget for the history concerned and financing plan
- presentation of project (can be written into the application form or in a separate document)

BANK DETAILS
The granted funds will be paid to the association’s account provided in this section. IBAN is an international bank account number that most European countries have adopted. A Finnish IBAN account number is always 18 characters long and starts with the country code FI. Please ensure that the bank account number is written correctly. An incorrect account number will delay the payment of the grant.
